That is it from this series. A one-sided affair as West Indies comfortably win it. The trophy is handed over to Shai Hope who celebrates with this team. That is all from here. Goodbye and cheers!
Brandon King is the Player of the Series! He says the team has given him the confidence and he backs himself to play his shots and score runs. Tells United Arab Emirates provided a good challenge and they play really competitive cricket.
Kevin Sinclair is the Player of the Match. He says it is a dream to play for West Indies and he will always cherish this day. Shares that the staff is always supporting and are backing him. He dedicates this performance to his grandfather.
Roston Chase says Alick Athanaze has the confidence and the backing of the staff, really happy the way he played. Adds they were looking to rotate more than scoring the boundaries as the total was not that big. On his bowling, Chase says he bowled in good areas and is happy.
Muhammad Waseem says they had a chance to score big but they collapsed midway but they have learned a lot from this series. Adds Aayan Khan and Karthik Meiyappan bowled really well and he is happy with the way they performed. Muhammad Jawadullah too bowled well. Ends by thanking the crowd for the support.
...Presentation coming up...
A better score from United Arab Emirates and they were definitely in this game. And honestly, at one point, they were eyeing around 300 when Muhammad Waseem and Vriitya Aravind were on the crease but once the Windies introduced their spinners. United Arab Emirates fell like a pack of cards. Their bowlers cannot be blamed much, they gave their best but in the end, were short of runs to defend.
West Indies clean-sweep the series. They will be very happy with how they performed with many key players rested before this series. They had a below par score to chase here and the debutant, Alick Athanaze couldn't have hoped for a better start to his career than this one. He smashed all around the park and got to his fifty. West Indies were cruising through but once United Arab Emirates introduced spinners, the pressure started to build up and wickets tumbled. However, they needed one partnership to chase it down in the end. Roston Chase, the skipper finished things off with ease.
