Right then, Barbados Royals have sealed a dominating win over the hosts in the first game at Trinidad and Tobago. The action will continue in the Caribbean Premier League as Jamaica Tallawahs take on St Kitts and Nevis Patriots on 14th September (Wednesday) and the game is set to begin at 7.30 pm IST (2 pm GMT).  But as you all know our build-up for the games will begin in advance. Do join us then. For now, it's goodbye and cheers!
Kieron Pollard the skipper of Trinbago Knight Riders starts by saying that the crowd was great and they did not do enough to justify their support. He says that they did not build enough partnerships and the only significant one was between Nicholas Pooran and Sunil Narine. Claims that he is not angry with his players and he knows that everybody is trying. Mentions that they need to play as a unit and support each other. Adds that on a wicket like this they needed a couple of more partnerships to get to a decent total. Admits that while bowling they did not execute the plans and gave width to the batters which made it easy for Kyle Mayers. Ends by saying that the fielding was also not up to the mark as they dropped crucial catches.
David Miller the captain of Barbados Royals says that the boys are contributing in different stages. He praises Kyle Mayers for his brilliant inning and says that his shot selection and power were really good to see. He also credits Mujeeb Ur Rahman for his performance and says that the bowlers executed their plans perfectly to set it up for the batters
Kyle Mayers is the Player of the Match for his 79 runs in just 36 balls. He says he tries to stay positive and enjoy the game. Adds that as an opener, he tries to be aggressive and capitalize on the loose balls. Tells the team has been superb, and there is a good atmosphere in the dressing room. On Mujeeb Ur Rahman, he claims that the conditions suited him and he credits him for an excellent performance.
Time for the presentations...
The problem for Trinbago Knight Riders finds its roots in their batting performance as they have not been good enough with the kind of firepower they possess. The top-order collapsed once again and despite Nicholas Pooran and Sunil Narine rebuilding the inning they were not able to provide the impetus towards the end. They put up an under-par total and left their bowlers with an uphill task to climb. Kyle Mayers scored his third half-century in this edition and plundered any hope Trinbago Knight Riders had with his swash-buckling innings.
Trinbago Knight Riders had nothing to cheer about in this game as they put up another disappointing performance, this time in front of their home crowd. Daryn Dupavillon was the only bowler who looked to be effective as he claimed the two wickets that fell. Kieron Pollard tried all his bowling options but they were always chasing the game after their batting performance. Sunil Narine once again was economical but could not get crucial breakthroughs. The state of the team can be identified by the way they came out to defend the run chase. They were bowling extras and Andre Russell dropped a sitter in the first over. They will need to rework their plans and probably dig into their squad for alternatives as this kind of performance from seasoned players is just not acceptable.
Barbados Royals got off to a flier despite losing Rahkeem Cornwall early. Kyle Mayers was in the mood as he took the bowlers to the cleaners. They had accumulated 58 runs in the Powerplay and the target did not seem very imposing. Things just got better as Kyle Mayers continued playing aggressively never letting any bowler settle scoring yet another half-century. Corbin Bosch played a supporting role watching the show from the other end as the two put on a 98-run partnership to get within touching distance from the total. The fact that Quinton de Kock had to come in to merely fulfill formalities shows how well this team is performing and how dangerous they can be.
Kyle Mayers is in the form of his life and he has made this run chase look like child’s play! Barbados Royals juggernaut keeps powering through as they seal their sixth consecutive win with 8 wickets in hand and with 4 overs to spare. They continue to remain unbeaten cementing their position at the top of the table and have shown that a perfectly balanced side will always outperform a star-studded line-up. That said, Trinbago Knight Riders are in the worst form possible and none of them seem to be clicking. They have a lot of work to do if they are to make it to the playoffs.

This is on a good length and around off, Corbin Bosch smashes it towards wide of deep extra cover where Andre Russell puts in a dive to his left to stop it. Two runs taken. Good to see Russell still putting in the effort even though they know that the game is gone.
