Right then, that is it from the humdinger of a game. The action continues as we have a doubleheader in store on Super Sunday, the 20th of August. It will be Manchester Originals vs Northern Superchargers at 7 p IST (1.30 pm GMT) and Welsh Fire vs London Spirit at 10.30 pm IST (5 pm GMT). But as you know, our build-up begins much sooner so do join us for the same, Until then, take care, and cheers.
Tom Curran is the player of the match. He says that it is a big win as it has taken them to the next stage. Tells that he was just trying to hit the ball hard and when it comes off, it is very nice. Feels that the pitch got better to bat on under lights and mentions that the spinners bowled really well and applauds Sam Curran for his bowling effort. Talks about the qualification and states that it is the reason why you play tournaments like The Hundred and hopes to do well going forward.
Presentation coming up...
Earlier in the game, Oval Invincibles batters too were struggling but ended up with 139 on the board, courtesy of a 43-run quickfire knock from Tom Curran. Chris Jordan was the pick of the bowlers for the Southern Brave as he picked up three wickets whilst Tymal Mills, Craig Overton, and Rehan Ahmed chipped in with one each.
Southern Brave batters were under the pump from the get-go. They were off to a steady start but kept on losing wickets whenever a good partnership was brewing for them. Finn Allen played a steady knock of 32 runs at the start. Later, Tim David went all guns blazing and scored a quickfire 44 but it was too little, too late for them. They will need to bounce back from this and start fresh in their next game to make their way into the playoffs.
Well, well, with this win, Oval Invincibles maintain their top spot in the league. It was a all-round performance from the Oval Invincibles players. Their bowling was on point and they never let the Southern Brave batters settle in the game. And to top it up, their fielding was just sensational. Tom Curran was their pick of the bowlers as he ended up with three wickets on his name. Adam Zampa chipped in with two while Will Jacks and Sam Curran have one in their kitty. The pitch certainly had something for the bowlers and Oval Invincibles bowlers made the most of it.

SIX! Oh, ends the game with three sixes in a row. Not enough though as Oval Invincibles have notched up an impressive away win. A fullish delivery on middle. David smashes it all the way over deep mid-wicket again for a maximum. Oval Invincibles win by 8 runs!

A full toss on off. David slaps it uppishly wide of long on. Jacks in the deep manages to stop it with a slide and two runs are taken.

Superb yorker again! Three in a row! On leg and David fails to get under it.

Wow! A killer yorker, on leg. David gets completely bamboozled and fails to dig it out. The ball hits his pads and there is a big appeal for LBW. The umpire though denies it. Oval Invincibles take the DRS and there is no bat involved according to the UltraEdge. The Ball Tracking shows that the ball is pitching outside leg and the NOT OUT decision stays.
