Right then, that is it from the game. Northern Superchargers have won it comprehensively. The action continues as we have a game lined up soon after this. It will be Oval Invincibles versus Welsh Fire. The game will start at 10.30 pm IST (5 pm GMT). The build-up for the game has already started so do switch tabs and enjoy the coverage of that game. Matthew Short is the Player of the Match for scoring 73 runs in 36 balls. He says it was really nice to get good start with bat and there was a bit of nerves as it was his first time in The Hundred. Claims that the management has been nice to him by selecting him in the draft so he has loved the opportunity and is thankful for it. Mentions that there was not so much turn but the curator did a good job despite the rain as it was pretty dry. Adds that it spun a bit more in the second inning. Informs that he batted down at 3 in the last game but he got to open as it was pretty unfortunate for Adam Lyth and he can be back soon hopefully. Reckons that the ball was coming on nicely and they used the breeze to their advantage. About the review, he says that he was pretty confident that the ball was hitting high so either clipping or going over the stumps. Shares that he was a part of the biggest competition back in India and it is about learning different cultures and playing with different people. Adds thatg that the coaches are good and hopefully they can do the same for the next two weeks. Ends by saying that they have been pretty felixble with the weather and do what we can to get their practice done.

Earlier in the match, it was all fireworks from the Northern Superchargers batters. Matthew Short started with all guns blazing with Tom Baton playing as a second fiddle. Once they were dismissed, Harry Brook took charge and made sure they have a mammoth total on the board. It was just a day to forget for the Southern Brave bowlers. Rehan Ahmed and Tymal Mills picked a wicket each for their side.
Southern Brave will look back into the game and will be very disappointed with themselves. They just had too many runs to chase. Leus du Plooy and Tim David did raise the tempo at the end but it was too little too late for them. Tim David scored 40 off 19 but fell for a fuller delivery. James Vince and Leus du Plooy scored 33 and 28 respectively.
After putting an above-par score on the pitch that was not easy to bat on, the Northern Superchargers bowlers just spat fire right from the get-go. It was Reece Topley who get the early wicket of Finn Allen and Wayne Parnell then dismissed Devon Conway. Adil Rashid got one wicket of the Southern Brave skipper who was playing a steady knock. They lost a bit of momentum after that but had enough runs on the board and just kept it simple. Reece Topley was the pick of the bowlers as he ended up with a three-fer.
That was an all-round performance from the Northern Superchargers! They have put up a commanding performance with both bat and the ball to get a huge win. Southern Brave will be upset with how things panned out and they will need to bounce back from this and come back stronger in their next game!
