Right then, Saint Lucia Kings have sealed a thumping win in their final game at home. The action in the Caribbean Premier League now moves to Trinidad. We have a doubleheader coming up on Wednesday 14th of September. First, it will be Trinbago Knight Riders up against Barbados Royals. That game will begin at 4.30 am IST (11.00 pm GMT, the previous day). Then we have Jamaica Tallawahs taking on St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. That match is set to begin at 7.30 pm IST (2.00 pm GMT).  But as you all know our build-up for the games will begin in advance. Do join us then. For now, it's goodbye!
Faf du Plessis the captain of Saint Lucia Kings says that 160 looked a bit short but credits his bowlers for their performance. Adds that they have batted well in the Powerplays and that is a positive. Admits that they are repeating their mistakes on the backend of their batting innings. Mentions that they will miss Tim David but says that he is happy for him as he deserves to be on the international scene. Ends by praising Matthew Forde for his performance.
Evin Lewis the skipper of St Kitts and Nevis Patriots says that they were confident going into the break but admits that the batting performance was not good enough. Adds that the equation for them is simple as they need to win all their games and their batting needs to step up.
Matthew Forde is the Player of the Match. He says that they executed their plans better in this game and he is happy with his performance. Adds that while batting he had a chat with David Wiese and he backed his ability. Mentions that he was born in Saint Lucia and his mother is from here as well and that is why the celebration as he has a connection with this place.
Stay tuned for the presentation...
Earlier in the game, Saint Lucia Kings were asked to bat first and they put on a total of 161 runs, thanks to the opening stand of 86 runs between Faf du Plessis and Johnson Charles. In reply, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots never got going. None of their batters found any sort of rhythm and they were eventually dismissed for a total of 100 runs.
St Kitts and Nevis Patriots came out to bat with some aggressive intent. Evin Lewis did play some lusty blows, but he perished and could not go on till the end. Once he was dismissed, wickets started falling in a heap. They suffered a massive batting collapse and were bundled out for a mere 100 runs. It's been disheartening for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. They will be hoping to come back stronger in their next contest.
Saint Lucia Kings got off to a bright start, they grabbed three wickets within the Powerplay and put their opposition under the pump early on. It was their pacers that used the conditions perfectly and were rewarded for their good work. Saint Lucia Kings made sure to capitalize on their momentum and kept grabbing wickets at regular intervals. Matthew Forde and David Wiese were the bowlers who took 3 wickets each, while Alzarri Joseph and Roshon Primus grabbed two wickets. A special mention to Tim David as well. He might have not scored runs today, but he took five catches and made his presence felt.
A comprehensive victory for Saint Lucia Kings! They have given the crowd a lot to cheer about in their last game at home. With this win, Saint Lucia Kings have grabbed two crucial points and have jumped to fourth place in the points table. It's been a tough day in the office for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. No batter got going in the chase and as a result, they have been defeated by 61 runs.

OUT! TAKEN! David Wiese gets another wicket and ends the innings of St Kitts and Nevis Patriots on 100 runs. Another catch for Tim David as he equals the record of most catches by a player in a single match this season. Wiese bowls this slower, full and on off, Akila Dananjaya makes room and lofts it, but he fails to pick the slower one and is through his shot early. As a result, the ball goes high  up in the air and behind mid off, where Tim David moves back and takes his fifth catch of the innings.  Saint Lucia Kings WIN BY 61 RUNS.
