Pieter Malan, the skipper of Rocks, is also the BATTER OF THE MATCH! He says that he is very happy with their show today and their bowlers did really well to defend it. Says that 160 was around par as there was some help for the spinners in this wicket. Credits Siyabonga Mahima for the way he bowled in the Powerplay and says that it is great to have him in the side.
Shaun von Berg is the BOWLER OF THE MATCH! He says that it's nice when the ball comes out nicely off the hand. Tells that he was happy to get a wicket on the first ball of his spell. Mentions that he was very confident after getting a wicket on the very first ball.

For Rocks, it was their spin trio that did extremely well. Siyabonga Mahima got a wicket off the first ball and set the tone for them and he came back to get the big wicket of Reeza Hendricks. Shaun von Berg was brilliant in the middle overs and took 3 wickets in no time, which included a hat-trick chance. Imran Manack was quite good too and took a wicket. The spinners bowled 12 overs for just 61 runs and took 6 wickets in total. Then, Hardus Viljoen and Ferisco Adams took a couple of wickets each to make sure that they get the bonus point too!
Highveld Lions had a very tough game with the bat. They lost a wicket on the very first delivery of the innings and things did not get much better for them. They could not deal with the spin bowling and lost wickets at crucial junctures. It was Reeza Hendricks who kept them in the game long enough with his 46-run knock. But his wicket in the 15th over put them way behind the curve and 66 were needed from the last 5 overs. Sisanda Magala got a few blows away but the task was too tough for him. If they had scored more than 128, they would have denied Rocks the bonus point, but there was a collapse in the end and they fell short by 44 runs.
Brilliant, brilliant bowling show by Rocks! They did not have the biggest of totals but they have bowled really well here. This win gives them a bonus point too and it would help their position on the table.
