Wayne Parnell, the skipper of Western Province, says that he is happy that they got over the line and was a bit nervous in the end. Adds that he is proud of his team and says that everyone is chipping in at some point. Mentions that staying calm and trusting your skills is crucial under pressure. Tells that they have back-to-back games coming up and they will be taking it game by game.
Beuran Hendricks is the BOWLER OF THE MATCH. He says he was happy with how he started with the ball and he needs to lead from the front. Mentions everybody is chipping in well and he is happy with how the team is playing.
Tony de Zorzi is the BATTER OF THE MATCH. He says that he is happy to contribute but was gutted to get out and enjoyed batting in the middle. Adds that it was a great team effort and they are happy with the way things are going.
... THE PRESENTATION ...
The bowling was excellent in the Powerplay, the likes of Yusuf, Sisanda Magala and Malusi Siboto were really good. However, the two spinners disappointed, more was expected of them but they did not deliver. The others still did well though to drag it towards the last over. More than the bowling and the batting, the fielding was disappointing and had they done better in that department, things could have been different. Lions were just not up for this game.
Highveld Lions started off well with the ball, the Powerplay belonged to them, they did not get a lot of wickets but kept it tight. However, post that, it was all about Tony de Zorzi and Gavin Kaplan, the two counter-attacked and took the game away from the Lions. They added close to 50 but changed the complexion of the game completely. Villas then managed to put up another handy stand with Tony de Zorzi. When de Zorzi was batting, they were cruising but once he got out, all of a sudden, runs were hard to come and they just kept losing wickets. Western Province were lucky as catches were not taken or the story could have well been different. Aviwe Mgijima and Yaseen Vallie kept their nerve and took their side over the line in the end.
Province have got over the line in the end! It got nervy but they have managed to win this game and remain unbeaten. The Lions probably were a touch under par. They needed something around 155-160 and maybe the result could have been different but credit to the bowlers to take it till the last over.

FOUR! There it is! Aviwe Mgijima seals the deal for Western Province! Malusi Siboto looks for a yorker, around off but he misses his mark and ends up serving a low full toss, around off. Mgijima carves it wide of the deep cover fielder and the ball races away to the fence. Western Province win the game by 5 wickets!

Absolute drama in the middle! Sisanda Magala serves a low full toss, around off. Aviwe Mgijima looks to scoop but it goes off the inner half of the bat and over the square leg fielder. The fielder runs back, collects the ball and throws it to the keeper. The keeper has a shy at the non-striker's end but the non-striker comes in the way and it hits him on the back. The batters take three runs in total. Just 4 runs needed now from the last over.
