Right then, That's it from the coverage of this game. But the CSA T20 Challenge does not stop here. There is one more game coming your way, which sees a contest between Dolphins and North West Dragons. The first ball will be bowled at 6 pm IST (12.30 pm GMT). But as you all know, you can join us early for the build-up. See you there!
Wayne Parnell, the skipper of Western Province says that it has been good so far and applauds his team by saying that the entire group has been amazing. Tells that they have a lot of match-winners on their side and he encourages his players to go out and express themselves.
Junaid Dawood is the BOWLER OF THE MATCH. He says that it's been great, the team environment is fantastic and they have the momentum that they need to continue forward as well. Mentions that he is quite used to these conditions and he is happy with his performance.
Jonathan Bird is the BATTER OF THE MATCH. He says that they weren't thinking about the bonus point at the start of the chase but as the innings went on, they thought of going for it and it came out.
Stay tuned for the presentation...
Knights were not at their best. They were let down by their batters in the start and the bowlers did not have much to fight with. They did get an early wicket, but they failed to capitalize on the same and leaked too many runs in the middle. The only positive was CP Klijnhans in the field. He took two outstanding catches and gave Knights something to smile about.
Western Province continue their unbeaten streak. They were clinical with the ball, which resulted in a comfortable chase. Although they lost Richard Levi early, Jonathan Bird and Tony de Zorzi put on 71 runs together and guided Western Province closer to victory. Dane Vilas and Aviwe Mgijima finished things off in style and made sure Western Province get their bonus point as well.
FIVE IN FIVE for Western Province! The same story continues for them! Another game and another dominating performance by them and they continue to march on. While Knights have delivered a disappointing performance and they continue to languish at the bottom of the points table.
