Right then! That is it from the coverage of this game! The action from CSA T20 Challenge 2022 continues as we have another double-header coming up on Tuesday, 15th February. The first game of the day sees a clash between the Rocks and the Lions. That game begins at 1.30 pm IST (8 am GMT). Do join us then and make sure you tune in early for the buildup. Cheers!
Pite van Biljon, the skipper of Knights, says that they haven't been at their best so far but he is happy that they got over the line in this game. Tells that they made some mistakes in the previous games and says that his players' emotional intelligence in this game was commendable. Mentions that they have got a bit of momentum now and they are hopeful of carrying on with that into the next game now.
Jacques Snyman is the BATTER AS WELL AS THE BOWLER OF THE MATCH. He says that it was just about getting the team to a good start. Mentions that he just played his role. Tells that the partnership between him and CP Klijnhans was incredible and is happy for the team. Adds that it feels good to get a win and they will look to carry forward the momentum.
... THE PRESENTATION ...
The Warriors' bowlers had lots of runs to play with but they never really looked like defending the total. The skipper brought in a lot of bowling changes but nothing went their way. All of their bowlers took some serious beating and were left clueless when Knights' openers were cruising along nicely. They did get the wicket of Snyman but it was too late and in the end, were handed a comprehensive defeat.
The Knights had a tough ask ahead of them but their openers, Jacques Snyman and CP Klijnhans had some other plans. They took the attack to the opposition right from the word go and never allowed the Warriors' bowlers to settle in. The debutant, CP Klijnhans played the second fiddle for a majority of the innings and it was Snyman who took all the bowlers to cleaners and also rode his luck as he was dropped when he was on 59. He completely broke the back of the target before getting out on 90 and played a blinder for his side. The opening pair also recorded the highest ever partnership in CSA T20 challenge history. All in all, it was a clinical effort from the Knights to chase down a competitive total.
WOW! What a chase this has been from the Knights! They register their first win of the tournament in some style! Their opening batters made absolutely mockery of the chase and the Knights have also recorded the highest successful chase this season at the St. George's Park. The Warriors were left with no answers out in the middle when the openers were smacking the ball to all parts of the ground. Only if they wouldn't have dropped those catches, things could have been slightly different for them.

FOUR! The skipper finishes things off for his side. Not what he intended to do, but he won't mind that. Good-length ball, outside off. Pite van Biljon looks to drive. The ball goes off the outside edge and races away to the third man fence. Knights win by 9 wickets!

FOUR! Pite van Biljon would have had his heart in his mouth there! Length ball, on the pads. Pite van Biljon whips it to fine leg. The fielder there runs to his left and tries to go for the catch one-handed but the ball drops short and crosses the ropes. Should have tried to stop the boundary instead at this stage!
