Earlier in the day, Colombo Strikers after electing to bat, were off to a flier. Once the opening stand was broken, it was a procession, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and that pushed them onto the back foot completely. They did manage to get over the 140-run mark but that was never going to be enough.
A strong win for Jaffna Kings! They have outplayed Colombo Strikers! Their bowlers pulled it back brilliantly after the first six and since then, it was all about Jaffna Kings. Their batters were brilliant. They came out all guns blazing and really good knocks from a couple of them has helped them cross the line. They need a strong win to improve their NRR and they have got it.
