Rahmanullah Gurbaz is in for a quick chat. He says it is a exciting moment for him and he cannot describe how happy he is. Says that Acishka batted very well and the rest was done by the tailenders.
For the Colombo Stars, it was Suranga Lakmal who turned things around with the ball with his amazing (3-0-23-3) spell. Benny Howell picked up a couple of wickets. Kasun Rajitha and Mohammad Nabi got one each in their kitty. They tried loads of bowling options and bowled their hearts out but lost in the very end. They did give a lot of extras which cost them in the end. Had it not been for the extras, they could have won the game.
An electrifying cameo at the start from Rahmanullah Gurbaz and it was looking like a one-sided game but once he was dismissed, Jaffna Kings lost their way a bit. Afif Hossain followed the suit soon. Sadeera Samarawickrama then came on and put up a gritty stand with Avishka Fernando. They stitched up a partnership of 72 runs but once Sadeera Samarawickrama was dismissed, wickets just kept on tumbling for Jaffna Kings. It all came to the last over and then, and Jaffna Kings won it by just 2 wickets!
Oh dear, what a game of cricket we have just noticed here. Jaffna Kings win their third trophy in a row and the crowd has gone frenzy. Colombo Stars gave them a tough fight till the very end but just missed the line. What a terrific final this has been!

TWO WIDES! Full toss, down the leg side. Viyaskanth misses the glance and let's go through to the keeper. He fails to grab it and the batters steal one more run. Jaffna Kings beat Colombo Stars by 2 wickets!

OUT! TAKEN! Fuller and on off, slower too. Thisara Perera looks to slog sweep it but mistimes it completely. The ball goes high up in the air towards mid-wicket and  Dominic Drakes takes an excellent catch diving to his right!

FOUR! Fuller and on off, Thisara Perera slices it over covers for a boundary. 2 needed off 5 now!
