That is all we have. We have two matches lined up on 12th February as Dolphins will take on Warriors at 1:30 pm IST (8 am GMT) and later Knights will clash swords with Titans at 6 pm IST (12:30 pm GMT). But as usual, the buildup will begin much earlier. Till then, cheers!
Malusi Siboto, the victorious skipper of Highveld Lions says that their bowling is stronger so they wanted to put the opposition under pressure by batting first. Adds it is easier for him to herald his bowling attack being a bowler himself. Jokes that if he tells his plans, he would give the other teams their secret.
Sisanda Magala is adjudged the BATTER AS WELL AS THE BOWLER OF THE MATCH, for his all-round performance of 37 (27) and 2/26 in 4 overs. He says that they put their plans into action in this game and got a good score. Adds that he wants to be someone who delivers for the team when needed.

Highveld Lions had a dream start by picking the big wickets of Dolphins without much trouble. There was only one big partnership built but that too didn't trouble them much. One thing the bowlers did well is they did not give away a lot of free runs and also executed their lines perfectly. They took wickets at regular intervals and that kept the pressure till the end. Sisanda Magala, Bjorn Fortuin and Malusi Siboto took two wickets each and it was a team performance that got them over the line.
Dolphins were off to a nervy start as they lost their big hitters, Keegan Petersen, David Miller, and Andile Phehlukwayo for a very timid score. They were 31 for 3 at the end of the Powerplay and in a spot of bother but Grant Roelofsen did really well to keep the scoreboard ticking. He fell later and then it was the partnership of Khaya Zondo and Jason Smith that gave them hopes, but the former fell in the death overs and they were in big trouble. It was all on Smith to take his team over the line but the target was just too big for him and in the end Dolphins fell short by 8 runs. A better effort at the top would have won them the game.
A win here means Highveld Lions open their account. It was not a big total that they had but their bowlers did the job against a very good batting lineup. Dolphins would be disappointed to not chase it down.

But even with his dive, he cannot get there before the bails are taken off. Good throw by Mitchell van Buuren and Ruan Haasbroek does the rest. That should seal the game for Highveld Lions.
