For Galle Titans, they needed early wickets but that was not the case. Infact the pacers leaked runs which put them behind in the game. Seekkuge Prasanna and Shakib Al Hasan were excellent in the middle overs and got their side somewhat back into the game. Tabraiz Shamsi was a tad disappointed as he leaked runs but Galle Titans just did not have enough runs on the board. They were beaten by a better side.
It did get close towards the end but to be honest, Dambulla Aura were always in control of the chase and it was really well calculated. Avishka Fernando got them off to a fast start before he fell. Sadeera Samarawickrama, Kusal Perera and Kusal Mendis guided them through the middle and helped their side always remain ahead in the run chase. All three fell, it came down to the last over but Alex Ross and Dhananjaya de Silva ensured it is their side who enter the finals. It was a combined batting effort and that is what they needed chasing a mediocre score. A few of them contributed and that was enough.
