That's it from this game. The action continues further as Saint Lucia Kings will take on Jamaica Tallawahs on 8th September at 4.30 am IST (11 pm GMT, the previous day). Do join us for the build up as well. Cheers.
David Miller is adjudged as the Player of the Match for his 60 runs off 36 balls.
It is official. The match has been called off. The ground was covered with water and it was a huge task for the groundsmen to clear things out. Barbados Royals win by 80 runs (DLS method).
Barbados Royals will be happy with this performance. They were excellent with the bat and were absolutely brilliant with the ball. The top three scored the bulk of the runs and they finished with an above par score. They turned up with the ball as well, as they took wickets in every over and bogged down the opposition. They were certain to win the game at that moment without any hesitation but the rain took the final limelight.
It looks very uncertain that the match will resume now. Looks like the match has been called off as both the skipper are shaking hands. Let's summarize the game till now - Trinbago Knight Riders just didn't look settled in this match. They leaked runs with the ball as they allowed the Royals batters to build a few partnerships. The target was a huge one and the Riders needed a good start but they lost 6 wickets inside the Powerplay. Munro with 12 runs was the highest scorer and that tells you the story. None of the big hitters of the Riders showed up. They were 7 down before the rain came in which decided to spoil the one-sided game.
Update - 11.27 pm IST (5.57 pm GMT) - The rain has slowed down but things look ominous! The groundsmen are working hard to make sure the floor doesn't get wet. Feels like, we are still away from the resumption. Stay tuned.
Update - 11.10 pm IST (5.40 pm GMT) - It has started to drizzle again. The covers are on and we are in for yet another delay. Barbados Royals are 80 runs ahead on DLS so they will not mind much. The rain is heavier now so, we are in for a long delay. Stay tuned.

Tossed up, on middle, a googly. Anderson Phillip tires to defend with the bat and pad. He seems to edge it to mid-wicket but Walsh thinks it was pad first. An appeal for LBW but nothing given. Barbados Royals take the review. No bat there. Ball Tracking shows it clips the top of leg, umpire's call. Not out it is!

OUT! RUSSELL GOES! That should be a match-winning wicket from Thomas! This is full and outside off. Russell clears his front leg and again tries to swing it hard as he looks to go downtown but splices it to Obed McCoy at third man where he takes a sharp catch.

A bouncer now, around leg. Russell evades.

Again tries to swing it away but Russell misses.
