Karachi kings beat defending champions Islamabad United

2nd playoff of PS: was played in sharjah last night. Karachi kings beat defending champions Islamabad United by 44 runs.

Sharjah cricket stadium hosted 2nd playoff between Karachi Kings and defending champions Islamabad United. Batsmen of kings once again depicted poor performance, one by one the wickets crumbled. Kings only managed 126 runs in their allotted 20 over.

Ironically Islamabad United was not able to chase a small total because of brilliant bowling of kings. The whole team was bowled out at total of 82 runs with a shortage of 44 runs

Start of Islamabad was not very impressive, Smith and Asif Ali started the innings but Muhammad Aamir sent him back on only 8 runs. Brad Haddin was also not able to bother him and he was also back on 3rd ball of his innings.

Latter Asif and Misbah built the innings at the score of 64-4 it seems Islamabad will win the match easily. Bt Imad Wasim and Usama meer sent 4 of the batsman back to pavilion on only 16 runs. This make Islamabad in trouble and kings position strong. Usama meer sent Asif Ali back and with that hopes of United was also gone.

Remaining batsmen were also gone back one by one and no one was able to hold the innings for defending champions.

Now they will play with Peshawar zalmi to qualify for finals.  Which is expected to be  played in Lahore on Sunday 5th of march.
