GEELONG defeated Hawthorn with a huge 86 points margin and stayed as another unbeaten team of the season.
In terms of the classic MCG Easter Monday clashes between the sides over the past decade, the 20.14 (134) to 6.12 (48) result won’t register.
It is indeed a great victory for GEELONG over hawks; they are still in the group of unbeaten teams of the season. and Hawks limping at the bottom with back to back blows in the tournament.
After one week of bouncing back against wasteful Melbourne, cats has won the match valiantly. Although they were early victims to the yips which kept their rivals in the game longer than otherwise would have been the case.
But a bounce back in the final quarter with straight 11 goals deflected the victory towards the Cats and Hawks were at mercy. It is first time since 1998 that Hawks are struggling a 0-4 start of the season,
